FAQ
Why does my dash cam stop recording or miss clips?
This is often related to SD card stability or speed. Dash cams require continuous writing. Choosing an original manufacturer SD card helps ensure stable recording and reduces the risk of dropped or corrupted files.
Does any SD card work in a dash cam?
Not all SD cards are designed for continuous recording. For better compatibility and long-term reliability, it is recommended to choose an original manufacturer SD card that meets dash cam recording requirements.
How often should I format my SD card?
Regular formatting helps maintain SD card performance and recording stability. When using an original manufacturer SD card, formatting it in the dash cam every few weeks is generally recommended.
Can an SD card affect the lifespan of my dash cam?
Yes. An unstable or incompatible SD card may cause recording errors or system stress over time. Choosing an original manufacturer SD card helps support stable operation and long-term device use.
Why is my SD card showing less storage than advertised?
SD card capacity is calculated using decimal units, and some space is reserved for system functions. This is normal across all brands. Choosing an original manufacturer SD card ensures clear capacity labeling and reliable performance.
